BREEDING
Breeding Regulations
In South Africa the Kennel Union of Southern Africa (KUSA) is issuing the pedigrees. You don’t need to be a member of a breeding club.
The breeding clubs can only implement breeding rules as an addition, or a special merit. The Working Weimaraner Club is at the moment working on breeding rules and a performance studbook.
In the last years (since 2020) the Working Gundog Clubs have developed a testing system similar to the JGHV in Germany. The aim to test future breeding dogs that fulfill the requirements of the German Weimaraner Club and to establish a performance studbook.
